Summer can't come soon enough

This photo makes me want to go to a festival. How about tomorrow? Parklife?

LOVE

I have been desperately searching newsagents and so on to see if they stock the bi-annual Love Magazine. Alas, no luck yet. Looks as though I may just have to buy online. I've heard fabulous things about the magazines emphasis on edgy and fashion-forward photography.

Abbey love

I have to say, I kind of love it. It's unexpected and she totally rocks it.

NYFW - Thakoon S/S 2011

I was first introduced to Thakoon in the "September Issue" Documentary where Vogue did an Upcoming Designer piece on him and he was flung in with the big time designers pretty much immediately after. His latest collection shows a lot of femininity with flowing silhouettes and sheer fabrics. Beautiful.

NYFW - Diane Von Furstenberg S/S 2011

Known for her divine and unique patterns DVF does it again. Loving the colours. Looks like brown is definitely the new black this season. Like I say everytime I mention her, Diane can do no wrong by me.

NYFW - Marc Jacobs S/S 2011

Marc Jacobs wows audiences again in his latest collection. Using a lot of rich colours and flowing silhouettes it's no wonder that his shows are one of the most coveted shows to attend. "So major". {Photo Source: Harpers Bazaar}

Finally!

I FINALLY went to the Valentino Retrospective Exhibit today at GoMA with one of my fashion subjects at uni. I've been waiting and waiting for what felt like forever to go see it but decided to wait until today because we had a special presentation from one of the curators about the exhibit, Valentino Garavini himself, and each garment, which collection it's from, who wore it etc. and I'm so glad I waited. I died and went to haute couture heaven. I managed to take photos of the exhibit (just for my own pleasure) despite the incredibly strict guards. I'll only put up a few just so you guys have to go and see the beauty yourself not to mention they simply don't do the garments any justice. I was there for 2 hours and that was me rushing because I'm going to the Up Late session with a few of my best friends. We get to see Kid Kenobi perform and talk with George Wu and a well known Australian stylist! I'm simply too excited.
